What we've improved lately, so you can finish your project faster.
Your supervisor's sources, and payments that unlock straight away
Add the papers and books your supervisor told you to use, and if you pay and your project stays locked, it now fixes itself.
Local topics get real sources too
If your topic is about a particular town, school, mosque, church or market, academic papers often don't exist. We now also look for trustworthy web pages about it, such as news reports and local government sites, read them, and only keep the ones that really discuss your topic. They're marked "Web page" in your research list and appear correctly in your reference list.
A methodology that fits your department
When you start a project, choose how you'll get your findings from options made for your field: historical research with records and oral interviews, analysis of novels or plays, legal research, annual reports and CBN figures, newspaper content analysis, a class experiment, a field trial and more. Not sure? We choose from your topic. Your Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 then follow the method your department expects, instead of a questionnaire by default.
Add the sources your supervisor gave you
Under your research results, or in References on your Chapters page, choose "Sources from your supervisor" and paste them in any style. We look each one up so its details are complete, then your chapters cite them alongside the papers we found. Books keep their publisher in your reference list.
Your payment always unlocks your project
Paying on your phone and coming back in a different browser used to leave some projects locked. Your project now unlocks wherever you come back, and your Chapters page checks again by itself if the payment took a moment to go through.
Already paid? Check it yourself
On the payment page, "Already paid but still locked? Check my payment" looks up your payment and unlocks your project in a few seconds. Starting a payment again also checks first, so you're never charged twice.
Edit your chapters, bring back your Word changes
Change any paragraph yourself without losing your citations, upload the version you edited in Word, and work through supervisor corrections one clear step at a time.
Edit your chapter text yourself
Open a written chapter and choose "Edit the text yourself". Tap any paragraph or list to change it. Citations stay as small locked tags, and "Add citation" lets you pick from your papers, so your reference list stays correct. If you remove a citation, we ask before saving. Your old version is kept in the chapter's history.
Edited a chapter in Word? Upload it
Under each written chapter, "Upload your latest version" reads your Word file, shows you what it found, and makes it the version on MonoEd once you confirm. Your next fixes, chapters and downloads then use the text your supervisor actually read.
Supervisor corrections, one step at a time
The corrections page is now four clear steps: bring in your Word changes, add your supervisor's comments, work through each fix, then check and download. Each fix opens right where you tap it, and the next one opens when you finish.
Chapters that stopped early get finished
If writing is cut off before the end, it now carries on by itself. If a chapter you already have stops mid-sentence, you'll see "Finish this chapter" on it. It adds only the missing part and doesn't use one of your rewrites.
Fuller reference lists
When you download, missing volume, issue and page numbers are filled in from each paper's official record, so your references look complete.
Faster help when something goes wrong

Your results, your way, and five new free tools
Adding your real Chapter 4 results is much easier, your next step is always clear, you can download an AI use disclosure, and there are five new free tools.
Paste your Chapter 4 results
No need to fill every table cell. Paste a summary of your results or your SPSS output, and Chapter 4 is rewritten around your own figures. Anything you leave out is marked clearly instead of being guessed. You can still fill the tables in if you prefer.

If your department asks how AI was used, download a statement built from your project's own record: the papers found, the chapters drafted, and the details and results you supplied. Add it as an appendix or download it on its own, then fill in the few parts only you can answer.

Real data, easier corrections and a better preview
Chapters 3 and 4 now use your own details, supervisor corrections are easy to find, and the preview helps you check everything before you download.
Chapter 3: answer a few short questions
Instead of a blank box, answer short questions: where, who, how many, how you'll pick them and how you'll analyse the data. Enter your population and a Taro Yamane button works out your sample size.
Chapter 4: fill in your tables with real figures
Type your figures into Chapter 4's own tables and the chapter is rewritten with them, exactly as you typed them. Adding results doesn't use up one of your rewrites.

Your school, your degree, your field
Title pages now match your institution and degree, and chapters fit your field better.
Your exact degree on the title page
Choose the award your school prints, such as B.Agric, LL.B, B.NSc or NCE, or type your own. It appears on your title page, certification page, Word file and slides.
Your school's crest, added for you
The University field is now Institution, so it fits polytechnics and colleges. Crests for more than 150 Nigerian institutions, including open and online universities, are added automatically.
Better chapters for health and life sciences
Public Health, Nursing and similar departments get Research Methodology in Chapter 3 instead of a lab-style Materials and Methods, unless your study is an experiment.
Data guides and defence slides
See what data to collect for Chapters 3 and 4, with ready collection documents when your project needs them. Defence slides are now widescreen, fit their text, and keep space for your own photos.
